The Faith and

Flourishing Ecosystem

Flourishing Ecosystem

The faith and flourishing ecosystem spans 450,000+ churches, ministries, and organizations united by one purpose: to help people flourish.
Across the country, millions of leaders wake up with a calling. Not for recognition. Not for profit. But to help people flourish.

Not a Single Organization

Not a Single Organization

The Faith & Flourishing Ecosystem consists of millions of men and women across 450,000 organizations committed to serving others and helping people flourish.

The Faith and Flourishing Ecosystem is a vast, interconnected collective of nonprofit and for-profit organizations worldwide. In the U.S. alone, the ecosystem includes more than 450,000 unique entities, more than double the number of fast food restaurants in the country and quadruple the number of public libraries. Organizations like local churches, anti-human trafficking groups, and addiction recovery centers; denominations, Bible translators, and campus ministries.  It is not a formal organization or a movement with a single headquarters. It is something more organic than that, a living community of millions of leaders and institutions spanning centuries, traditions, and geographies, all working toward a shared

purpose: to help people flourish in their lives and livelihoods.  When one church strengthens a family, a neighborhood grows healthier. When one ministry equips a leader, impact multiplies far beyond what any single organization could achieve alone. When a nonprofit restores dignity to one person, hope is restored.  This resilient force for good has existed for millennia, but our ability to see it clearly, name it, and understand how its many parts fit together has not. When this ecosystem brings together its time, its talent, and its resources for a single purpose, the world sees its collective strength come to life.

hope is restored.

How to Move Forward

What does “Flourishing” actually mean?

What does “Flourishing” actually mean?

Human flourishing is a state in which all aspects of a person’s life are going well, spanning spirituality, relationships, purpose, finances, health, character, and contentment.

Flourishing is more than happiness. It's more than financial stability or physical health. Researchers at the Global Flourishing Study and the Human Flourishing Program at Harvard have identified seven interconnected dimensions that together describe whole-person health:

These seven dimensions are deeply interdependent. Someone can flourish in their career while struggling in their closest relationships. Another person may be surrounded by community but feel a deep lack of purpose. Holistic flourishing requires attention to all seven, and the ecosystem exists precisely to serve people across every one of them.

How Technology is Serving the Ecosystem

Throughout history, technological breakthroughs have expanded the capacity for human flourishing. The printing press democratized access to Scripture and knowledge. Steam-powered transportation connected people across vast distances. The internet collapsed those distances entirely, putting knowledge, community, and connection within reach of nearly anyone. In each case, the technology itself was neutral.

Steam-powered transportation connected people across vast distances. The internet collapsed those distances entirely, putting knowledge, community, and connection within reach of nearly anyone. In each case, the technology itself was neutral; what mattered was how it was shaped and who it served. For all its size and history, the Faith & Flourishing Ecosystem has largely lacked digital infrastructure tailored to its unique needs. Mission-driven organizations are not designed to be tech companies; they are built to serve people and advance a cause, not build and operate complex technology and marketing stacks. When technology and reach are powered, the ecosystem’s scale and reach can multiply exponentially. Organizations that have historically operated in isolation can share insights, coordinate their efforts, and reach more people. Technology can help missional leaders do more of what they’re called to do, advancing human flourishing at a scale never seen before.

How Gloo Serves the Ecosystem

How Gloo Serves the Ecosystem

Gloo powers the technology and reach of organizations across the Faith & Flourishing Ecosystem. Through leading solutions and a portfolio of Capital Partners committed to serving, Gloo is impacting both sides of the ecosystem, helping them do more of what they’re called to do.

These two groups reinforce each other. When network capability providers grow stronger, the frontline organizations they serve can do more of what they’re called to do. When more frontline organizations thrive, the providers who serve them, in turn, grow. It’s a self-reinforcing relationship, and Gloo is at the center, powering tech and reach with applied AI that helps leaders do more of what they’re called to do.

Champion Frontline Organizations (CFL)

On one side are the churches, recovery centers, anti-trafficking programs, and nonprofits that serve people directly. These champion frontline organizations (CFLs) sit with families in crisis, run safe houses, and lead small groups. They’re on the front lines of helping people live flourishing lives.

Network Capability Providers (NCP)

The other side of the ecosystem is the thousands of organizations, both for-profit and nonprofit, that equip the frontline champions. These network capability providers (NCPs) provide the donor services, marketing, research, content, and technology that frontline organizations rely on but rarely have the capacity to build themselves.
